Repeated 7

I did this painting back in 1971...summer of grade 9. (6'x 4') I had a wonderful art teacher at Willow Rd. Senior Public School (Stephen Lewis / Sculptor). In 1969/70 he gave me large blank canvases and told me to simply paint what I wanted. That kind of freedom and encouragement is very important to a young student. I still have that painting and my son won't let me sell it or give it away. My son is now in grade 9.

Me and Mark Labelle

Happy Birthday Mark!...today is June 15,2007.
This is a picture of Mark and myself around 1974 in a recording studio in Toronto working on one of his songs. Even before the recording sessions were were in a rock band called `Winslow'...we turned up the volume at a famous concert at our high school called Jam Sandwich at GCVI in 1973. They will never forget us (especially all the hippies with accoustic guitars)...and I will never forget the fun we had.
